Golden West battled back from a large late deficit in the second set and then won the final two sets to earn a hard-fought five-set victory over Irvine Valley in a key Pacific Coast Conference match on Friday night at IVC. Golden West came out on top, 13-25, 28-26, 26-28, 25-15, 15-11.
The Golden West men's volleyball team swept Irvine Valley College in conference opener.
The Rustlers would battle all night taking Pierce to five games: 25-13, 23-25, 25-22, 21-25, and 17-15. The win improved Golden West to 4-1 and dropped LA Pierce to 5-2.
Golden West Men's Volleyball kicked off its 2012 campaign with a 3-1 (24-26, 25-21, 25-21, 25-21) victory over the Raiders of Moorpark.
