Huntington Beach, Calif. - The Golden West (1-0) women's soccer season kicked off with a 2-0 victory over LA Harbor (0-1) Friday afternoon.
The Rustlers got on the board just before the end of the first half when Ashley Mora found the back of the net in the 42nd minute thanks to a Rachel McClure assist. McClure would continue contributing with her first goal of the season to go along with her assist in the 58th minute of second half with an assist by Emily Flores. In total the Rustlers put six shots on goal offensively while the defense held strong allowing one shot on goal against goalkeeper Taylor Vanis.
NEXT: Rustlers will host Palomar College Tuesday September 5th at 3pm.
