Bio
Tim Johnson is the assistant coach to the women’s volleyball team here at Golden West. After graduating Fountain Valley High School, Tim played volleyball for Golden West College from 1987 – 89, where he was First Team All State and in 1991, NCAA Champion with Long Beach State. After college, he coached local club teams and was the Head Coach/Direct of Surf City Boys volleyball club.
Tim coached internationally from 2008-09, then came back to work with local clubs and USA volleyball. Currently, while coaching for Golden West College he has lead teams to the state finals. In 2003 & 2004, Tim was named Orange Empire Conference Coach of the Year. Tim Johnson, his wife Erin and their two daughters Makayla and Morgan live in Fountain Valley.
