Zaan Joins Men’s Water Polo Coaching Staff

Huntington Beach, Calif. - Head coach Scott Taylor announces that Garrett Zaan has been added to the men's water polo coaching staff for the 2025 season.

"We are excited to have Garrett join our staff here at Golden West College," said Taylor. "He is a local Huntington Beach talent who brings great experience and knowledge to our program."

A Huntington Beach High School graduate (2018), Zaan brings a wealth of high-level playing experience and international expertise to the Rustlers. He was named MVP and earned a gold medal at the 2017 Youth Pan American Games and represented the United States at both the youth and junior world championships.

Zaan went on to become a three-time All-American at Long Beach State, excelling as a dominant center. His professional career includes playing overseas for Club Esportiu Mediterrani in Barcelona and UWA Torpedoes in Perth. His global experience and elite-level background will be a tremendous asset to the program.
