Softball: Green and Sua Selected to the 2023 ALL-OEC Second Team
The Golden West College softball had freshman outfielder Isabella Green and freshman shortstop/pitcher Aolani Sua named to the 2023 All-OEC second team.
The Golden West College softball had freshman outfielder Isabella Green and freshman shortstop/pitcher Aolani Sua named to the 2023 All-OEC second team.
Green led the Rustlers in many offensive categories including at bats with 106, 42 runs scored, 35 stolen bases, and tied for most hits with 41 while finishing third on the team with .387 batting average. The 35 stolen bases were tops in the Orange Empire Conference.
Sua finished second on the team with a .394 batting average, 14 stolen bases, 37 hits, and 24 runs scored. Her 14 stolen bases were second in the Orange Empire Conference behind her teammate Green.
Head Coach Mike Willey lamented that "the biggest dissapointment was Brooklyn Gregory not being selected by the conference, she had a tremendous season for us." Gregory led the Rustlers with a .402 batting average and 33 RBI's to go along with three doubles and five triples.
