Huntington Beach, Calif. - Golden West (0-8, 0-2) was held to one hit today in their 15-0 mercy rule loss to Fullerton College (4-3, 1-1) in five innings.
Briana Morrison (1 for 1, 1BB) recorded the Rustlers only hit on the day in bottom of the fifth inning. Starting pitcher Vanessa Camacho did all she could as she gave up 15 runs, 12 earned on 15 hits while striking out two. Fullerton used a strong first inning scoring five runs to take control early. They then added another six runs in third inning to extend their lead 11-0. The Hornets put their final stamp on the game scoring four more in the fifth inning to reach the final score of 15-0.
Next: Golden West will travel to Santiago Canyon on Friday February 24th for a 2pm start.
