Huntington Beach, Calif. - Golden West jumped out to an early 1-0 lead but gave up a second half goal to tie with Orange Empire Conference rival Fullerton College on Tuesday 1-1.

Huntington Beach, Calif. - Golden West jumped out to an early 1-0 lead but gave up a second half goal to tie with Orange Empire Conference rival Fullerton College on Tuesday 1-1.
Ricky Briseno netted the lone goal for the Rustlers at the 25 minute mark as he got a clear view of the goal off of a rebound. The Rustlers had several other great looks in the first half as they put six shots on goal in the first 45 minutes.
The second half featured a faster tempo by the Hornets in an attempt to control the ball and it was a successful plan. Fullerton was able to tie the match 1-1 with a goal in the 65th minute and continued to apply pressure the entire second half.
NEXT: Golden West will host Irvine Valley College as we start the second half of conference play at 3pm.
