For long portions of the contest, Golden West maintained control of possession, but the Rustlers were unable to turn opportunities into goals. A few lapses in focus gave the Pirates the chance to score both before, and immediately after, the half time break. Attempting to close the gap of the two goal deficit, the Rustlers pushed forward in search of the net, but was countered by Orange Coast for their third and final goal of the match.
The Rustlers look to regain their winning form on Tuesday (October 15) at home against Irvine Valley College at 3pm.
