Rustler Blank Pirates

Golden West (10-5-3, 8-3-2) kept their post season dreams alive with a 2-0 win over Orange Coast College keeping their third place standing in the conference.

An early strong start by the Pirates was wiped away in the 18th minute, when Eddie Arellano chipped a pass over to Rustler teammate Jimmy Amador, who knocked a header into the back of the net.

It remained 1-0 for most of the match, despite some decent scoring opportunities for both sides. Finally, in the 87th minute, the Rustlers took used a late breakaway opportunity to add the clinching goal.

Golden West will wrap up the regular season at home on Friday against Santa Ana, beginning at 3:00 pm.
