Golden West defeated Allan Hancock on the road in a nail biting 23-21 victory. The Rustlers got on the board first with a field goal from Peter Marquez and a 1-yard touchdown run from Sam Wilson. The Rustlers kept scoring with 1:07 left in the first half when quarterback Chris d'Entremont connected a 7-yard pass to Nik Little taking the score 17-7 into half time.
In the second half, the Bulldogs scored on 2 plays, but were never able to take the lead from the Rustlers offense. With 16 seconds left on the game clock, Allan Hancock brought the score within a point, 21-20, hoping for a victory. Unbelievablely, with 2 seconds left on the play clock, kicker Marquez nailed a 52-yard field goal, sealing the win and thrilling the crowd.
