Rustlers Earn No. 11 Seed, Set to Open SoCal Regionals vs. LA Pierce
HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. - The Golden West College baseball program has earned the No. 11 seed in the Southern California Regional Playoffs and will open postseason play on Friday, May 1, against No. 19 seed LA Pierce College at 12 p.m.
The regional will be hosted by No. 6 seed Glendale Community College at Stengel Field in Verdugo Park, setting the stage for a competitive opening round.
Golden West (21-19, 8-13 OEC) enters the postseason with strong momentum, having won seven of its final eight Orange Empire Conference games to close out the regular season. The late-season surge propelled the Rustlers into the playoff field and positioned them as a dangerous contender heading into regional action.
Friday's opener against LA Pierce will determine the Rustlers' path for the remainder of the day. With the regional utilizing a double-elimination format, the winner will advance in the winner's bracket, while the loser will return to action later that afternoon at 4 p.m. against host Glendale.

There will be a small snack bar onsite and parking is located in Verdugo Park at metered lots.
