Rustler’s Ready to Host Panthers in Sectionals
The No. 3 seeded Golden West College Rustlers are set to host the Foothill Conference Champions and the No. 7 seeded Chaffey College Panthers in the best of three Southern California Baseball Sectional Series.

Huntington Beach, Calif. – The No. 3 seeded Golden West College Rustlers (27-14) are set to host the Foothill Conference Champions and the No. 7 seeded Chaffey College Panthers (31-10) in the best of three Southern California Baseball Sectional Series.
The Panthers started the playoffs with a two game sweep of No 10 seeded College of the Canyons 17-6 and 11-10. They moved on to beat No 6 Cuesta College in the super regionals this past weekend two games to one in which they needed to avenge a series opening loss 8-3. Chaffey College would earn two close victories 10-8 and 7-6 to earn their right to move onto the third round sectional series in Huntington Beach.
Golden West swept their regional series against No 14 Rio Hondo College 6-5 in game 1 and 6-1 in game 2. The Rustlers then went on to beat No. 18 Riverside City College in a tough fought three games, 7-6, 0-1, and 10-6 to earn their right to host to the third round of sectionals.
Tickets to the California Community College Athletic Association postseason event cost $12 for general admission and $8 for students/faculty/staff/senior citizens (60+)/children(12 under). Cash Only Please. If you would like a tournament pass, they will be available for purchase at the gate - $20 for the adult pass, $14 for student/faculty/staff/senior citizens/children.
Pass is only good for third round of playoffs vs. Chaffey College.
