Track and Field Men Take 1st and 2nd Long Jump and Javelin

Riverside, Calif. - The Golden West men's track and field team, along with Riverside, Fullerton, and Santa Ana ran, threw and jumped their way through competition Friday, February 8th. Due to inclement weather, not all events were held.

Freshman Anderson Hua took first place in the long jump event, clearning and impressive 5.97 meters. Fellow teammate and freshman Daniel Hernandez placed second in the javelin throw, hurling the javelin 49.55 meters. Hernandez's distance was just .55 meters shorter than first place.

The team will next participate in the Concordia Invitational on Saturday, February 16th at 9:00am, to be held at Concordia College in Irvine, Ca.
