Men's Swimming Season Starts On Top

Huntington Beach, Calif. - Golden West hosted conference teams Riverside, Cypress and Santa Ana for the spring season's first OEC Triple Dual meet. The men dominated pool and finished first place in every event.

Starting the meet out strong, Rustler's Garrett Pickford, Riley Matranga, Casey Klipsich and Fletcher Norseen swam the 400 yard medley relay, finishing first with a time of 3:41.63. 

Daniel Roa completed the 1,000 yard free style in 9:55.92 a full minute and 12 seconds before second place. Roa finisehd first in the 200 yard butterfly, his time was 1:59.98

Ari Marks placed first in the 50 yard free with a 21.66 time, Fletcher Norseen finished the 100 yard free in 48.28 and teammate David Jorth finished the 500 free in 5:08.62 and the 200 free in 1:49.13

Garrett Pickford picked up first in the 200 yard backstroke with a time of 2:09.90, and Rustler Riley Matranga finished first in the 200 yard ind. medley in 2:02.90

The men's 400 yard free relay placed first with the work of David Jorth, Dylan Alba, Fletcher Norseen and Ari Marks, finishing time was 3:19.75

NEXT: The men will swim in the  Sprint Invite on February 22nd at 9:00am
