Baseball Prepares For Playoffs
CCCAA Baseball Association announced the playoff match-ups for the 2012 CCCAA Regional Championships. Golden West (18-17-1) earned the No. 13 seed and will face Mt. San Antonion (28-8) the No. 4 seed on Saturday, May 5th at Mt. SAC.

Blake Cooper went 4 for 4 with four runs scored, William Shaw was 2 for 5 with one RBI, Kyle Jones was 2 for 4 with one RBI and Bobby Webb went 1 for 5 with two RBI to lead Golden West, which improved its record to 13-9-1 overall and 5-5 in the Orange Empire Conference.

Rustlers stung by the Hornets, 10-1
The Rustlers traveled to Fullerton College Saturday, April 9 and lost to the Hornets, 10-1. When these two teams played earlier this season, Golden West won 5-1. After Saturday’s result, the two teams have managed to split their games to one win each.

On Saturday, March 5, the Golden West baseball team traveled to play the Santa Ana Dons, but lost 3-4. The Rustlers have struggled all season with consistency, winning and losing in streaks to earn an 8-7 record.

Baseball hold off LA Harbor 11-9
The Rustler baseball team barely defeated Los Angeles Harbor Saturday, Feb. 19 at home, by a score of 11-9. After losing the first three games of the season, the Rustlers have come back and won five out of their last six games.
