Secaucus, NJ. - The good news keeps rolling in for sophomore right handed pitcher Josh Ibarra as he was drafted in the 30th round of the 2019 Major League Baseball Draft.
Ibarra, a UC Irvine commit, was selected in the 30th round and 911th overall. He finished his sophmore season tied for the Orange Empire Conference lead with eight saves, second in conference with a 1.90 earned run average, and third in conference in strikeouts with 68. Not only did he get it done in conference play but overall Ibarra finished with a 4-1 record to along with his eight saves. He led the Rustlers with 84 strikeouts in 61 innings pitched while only surrendering 13 runs, 11 that were earned.
