Men's Swimming - 8th Place At State Championships
David Jorth took home second place in the men’s 1650 and earning him a spot in the Golden West College’s Top Ten Swim Times. In the 200 backstroke, Luca De Vivo won consolation finals by two seconds (1:54.46) also placing him on GWC’s Top Ten list.

Women's Swimming Takes 4th In The State
In the first event of the meet, the Rustlers edged out second place and fellow Orange Empire Conference foe Orange Coast by .18 of a second to take home 1st place in the women's 200-yard Freestyle Relay. Golden West posted a time of 1:37.52 (Gabriela Cabrera, Saibrah White, Brooke Roy, Margaret Dix)

Blake Cooper went 4 for 4 with four runs scored, William Shaw was 2 for 5 with one RBI, Kyle Jones was 2 for 4 with one RBI and Bobby Webb went 1 for 5 with two RBI to lead Golden West, which improved its record to 13-9-1 overall and 5-5 in the Orange Empire Conference.

Golden West battled back from a large late deficit in the second set and then won the final two sets to earn a hard-fought five-set victory over Irvine Valley in a key Pacific Coast Conference match on Friday night at IVC. Golden West came out on top, 13-25, 28-26, 26-28, 25-15, 15-11.
